Vested Impact FAQ
Educational information only. No personal financial advice.
Everything on this website and in the Vested Impact community is provided for educational and factual information purposes only. Nothing on this page is personal financial advice, legal advice or tax advice, and nothing should be treated as a recommendation to acquire, dispose of, or hold a financial product.
We do not take your personal objectives, financial situation or needs into account. Before acting on anything you read or hear from us, you should consider whether it is appropriate for your circumstances and seek advice from an appropriately licensed financial adviser, and where relevant your accountant or lawyer. ASIC states that a person providing financial product advice generally must hold an AFS licence or be authorised by a licensee.
Investing involves risk. You may lose some or all of your capital. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
What is Vested Impact?
Vested Impact is an investor education and community platform for professional women.
We help you understand topics such as equity compensation, concentrated wealth, diversification, portfolio thinking, and how to evaluate investment opportunities in plain English.
Think of it as intelligence before capital.
Who is Vested Impact for?
Vested Impact is for professional women who want to build investing confidence, step by step, in plain English.
You will likely fit well if you:
want a practical starting point for investing
care about where capital flows
want more women-led, impact-driven innovation to get funded
prefer learning with structure, community and clear next steps
Do I need a finance or technical background?
No.
What matters more is judgment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. If you have built teams, managed risk, made decisions with incomplete information, or led work in a professional setting, you already have useful foundations for investor thinking.
Do I need to work in tech?
No.
Operating experience translates across industries. Women from healthcare, consulting, finance, government, education, operations and corporate leadership all bring useful judgment to investor learning.
Do I need to have RSUs?
No.
RSUs are one example of concentrated wealth. The concepts we teach can apply across many forms of concentrated assets and investable capital.
What kind of capital or financial situation is this relevant to?
You do not need a specific type of wealth to start here.
Vested Impact may be useful if you have investable capital or concentrated wealth from sources such as:
salary savings
equity compensation
a business exit
an inheritance or settlement
a property sale
The common thread is that you want to make thoughtful decisions over time, rather than leave big financial decisions to chance.
What will I learn?
We focus on helping you build investor readiness.
That can include:
understanding concentrated wealth
thinking in terms of diversification and portfolio construction
building confidence around risk and time horizon
learning how to evaluate opportunities more critically
developing a clearer language for money, investing and ownership
Will you tell me what to invest in?
No. We do not provide personal financial advice or tailored investment recommendations. We provide education, frameworks and tools to help you think more clearly. You decide what to do with your own money, ideally with professional advice where appropriate.
How is this different from a financial adviser?
Vested Impact provides education, frameworks and tools to help you build investment literacy and make your own decisions.
A licensed financial adviser can provide personal advice tailored to your objectives, financial situation and needs. We do not provide that kind of advice.
Can I ask questions?
Yes. We welcome questions from this community. Questions, reflections and real-life money stories are part of how people learn.
When we respond, our responses are educational and informational only. We do not know your full financial picture, we do not take your personal circumstances into account, and we are not providing personal financial advice, legal advice or tax advice.
What am I signing up for right now?
At this stage, the ask is simple:

No prior investing experience is required.
Do I have to invest?
No. There is no obligation to invest. Vested Impact is designed to help you build literacy, judgment and confidence first. Some members may remain in learning mode for a long time. That is completely fine.
What is the relationship between Vested Impact and Vested Angels?
Vested Impact is the education and community side of the ecosystem.
Vested Angels is a separate investment pathway for eligible investors, with its own terms, disclosures, eligibility requirements and risk warnings.
Who is behind Vested Impact?
Vested Impact was founded by Sinéad Fitzgerald, a technology partnerships leader and founder building new pathways for women to learn, invest, and participate more confidently in capital allocation.
